  2. Auto Play: Click the "Auto Play" button, and the system will automatically switch colors every 3 seconds
  3. Observe Carefully: In fullscreen mode, carefully check for abnormal pixels or uneven colors
  4. Switch Colors: Click the screen to manually switch to the next test color
  5. Exit Test: Press ESC to exit fullscreen mode

Test Items Explained

  • Solid Color Tests: Red, green, blue, black, white, gray, yellow, cyan, magenta - for detecting dead pixels
  • Gradient Test: Black to white gradient to check smooth color transitions
  • Checkerboard Test: Black and white alternating pattern to check contrast and sharpness

Common Screen Issues

Dead Pixel: Completely dark pixel that doesn't light up, usually permanent pixel damage.

Stuck Pixel: Pixel that stays lit, possibly a stuck color channel, sometimes fixable with software.

Color Shift: Overall inaccurate screen colors, may require screen calibration or settings adjustment.

When Do You Need Screen Testing?

  • When buying a new monitor or computer to check for defects
  • Suspecting screen issues and confirming if repair is needed
  • Before professional design work to ensure accurate color display
